Representatives of the Czechoslovakian Government and of the Jewish Community today greeted the world congress of Maccabi, Jewish sport organization. More than 100 delegates and 1,000 guests from many countries are participating.

The congress sent a greeting in the name of Jewish youth to Czechoslovakia’s President Masaryk, a noted friend of the Jews and Zionism.

Dr. H. Llelewer, president of the World Maccabi Organization delivered the keynote address, outlining the future program of the sport organization.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns from unofficial but reliable sources that the praesidium of the organization has decided not to participate in the forthcoming Olympic games in Berlin, but that this decision shall not be binding on the German Maccabi organization.
