Non-russian Jews to Be Settled in Biro-bidjan Next Spring

The first group of non-Russian Jews will be settled in the Jewish autonomous territory of Biro-Bidjan next Spring, it was announced here yesterday following a conference between Soviet Ambassador Alexander A. Troyanovsky and former Representative William W. Cohen and Sol Low representing the American Committee for the Settlement of Jews in Biro-Bidjan.

Plans for admission of European non-Russian Jews were discussed by the three at a conference yesterday, according to an announcement by the Soviet Embassy.

Mr. Cohen and Mr. Low informed M. Troyanovsky that the American Committee had just received official authorization from the Komzet, Soviet commission for settling Jews on land, to proceed with the plan.
