The prophet Ezra’s Biblical laws for the preservation of the Jewish people were today used as justification for the Nazi anti-Jewish racial laws in the course of a speech by Dietrich Klagges, Minister President of Brunswick.

Herr Klagges declared that the German laws are a modal of humanity compared with the laws penned by Ezra.

“We do not wish to determine the fate of the Jewish race,” Herr Klagges said, “but to prevent the Jews from determing Germany’s fate.”
