Only 100 German Jews will be permitted to emigrate to Palestine in 1936 with a capital of $5,000 under the terms of the Palestine-Germany transfer agreement, it was announced today by the Reichsbank.

The announcement explains that this measure has been made necessary by the shortage of foreign exchange. Under the transfer agreement, it was announced today by the Reichsbank.

The announcement explains that this measure has been made necessary by the shortage of foreign exchange. Under the transfer agreement, however, persons migrating to Palestine may not take with them cash, their capital being subject to removal in the form of merchandise for which cash may be obtained only after a minimum period of one year in Palestine.

This development lends strength to the prediction made in Jewish circles here that the German Government may not renew the transfer agreement with Palestine since it is not anxious to permit export of goods unless receiving foreign exchange in payment.
