Jewish organizations refused yesterday to recognize the election of Rabbi Zvi Pessach Frank by an assembly of local rabbis to fill the position of chief rabbi of Palestine left vacant with the death last September of Rabbi Abraham I. Kook.

Meanwhile, a group of Chassidic Jews sent an invitation to Rabbi Zemba of Poland to come to Palestine as their chief rabbi.
