The Jewish press today reflected the sorrow of Polish Jewry over the death of King George of England. Newspapers, recalling that the Balfour Declaration for a Jewish homeland was issued during his reign, compared him to Cyrus the Great, the Persian King who aided the Jewish nation to reconstitute itself in Palestine after the Babylonian exile.
