Germany Sends Ambassador to Protest Gustloff Slaying

The German Government today recalled Freiherr von Weizsacker, Ambassador to Switzerland, from a vacation and sent him to Berne to lodge a verbal protest with the authorities in connection with the assassination of Wilhelm Gustloff, Swiss Nazi leader.

The Ambassador was instructed to emphasize that Germany expects a thorough investigation to ascertain the identity of the people behind David Frankfurter, the confessed slayer.
