Stavsky Cleared in Poland of Palestine Smuggling

A court has acquitted Abraham Stavsky and two other persons of complicity in smuggling Jews into Palestine. Mr. Hazanowich, chief of the accused, was convicted and sentenced to three years in jail.

A Palestine court of appeals last year overruled the conviction of Stavsky on charges of participating in the assassination of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, Palestine labor leader, Stavsky was a member of the Revisionist Organization, right-wing Zionist body.
