Nahum Asch, chief rabbi of the Czestochowa district for fifty years, died last night. He was seventy-five years old.
Rabbi Asch was the author of many works on the Talmud. Recently he wrote a book in defense of the kosher slaughtering ritual, which was under attack in Parliament.
