Selassie Thanks Jews for Interest in Ethiopia

Haile Selassie, fugitive emperor of Ethiopia, today voiced his thanks to world Jewry “for the special interest Jews have exhibited in the Ethiopian situation.”

The Negus, speaking to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency representative and four reporters of Palestine Hebrew papers, added his hopes that the Jewish press of the world would continue to be sympathetic to his country.
