The Times in a lengthy editorial today expresses doubt as to the value of sending a Royal Commission to inquire into recent Palestine disorders.

The editorial points out that what is needed is a firm and clear statement of the Mandatory Power’s policy which will be adhered to regardless of protests from Arab or Jews.

The Times welcomed the statement of Colonial Secretary J.H. Thomas in the House of Commons yesterday that law and order in Palestine are primary necessities.
