Cheers greeted the declaration by Prime Minister Baldwin in the House of Commons today that the “Government responsible for the administration and protection of Palestine intends to discharge its responsibilities to the full.”

Mr. Baldwin’s statement was made in answer to a demand by J.A. Leckie, National Laborite, that Great Britain “make it clear in unmistakable terms” that she will not brook Italian interference in Egypt and Palestine and will consider any attempts in that direction as unfriendly acts.
