Fearing possible Arab attacks, Jews today evacuated the colony of Kfar Hittim in lower Galileo, Arabs uprooted 2,500 trees today, including 1,500 at Kfar Brandeis, Jewish colony near Hedera, named in honor of United States Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis. Police are using bloodhounds to trail the marauders, several of whom were apprehended.

An official communique issued this evening reported quiet prevailing everywhere. Stores of arms and ammunition were confiscated after search of the Arab village of Misr, the communique reported. A demonstration at Jenin was quietly dispersed.
