With British-mandated Palestine in the grip of Arab disorders, the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations opened its sessions today and scheduled a secret debate on Palestine for next Monday.
Reports that Italy — linked in London to the Holy Land disorders — might not participate in the commission’s meeting proved groundless when Marquis Alberto Theodoli of Italy, chairman of the commission, presided over today’s meeting.
He was re-elected chairman for 1936. A proposed agenda was adopted without debate and the public session then adjourned.
