A meeting of the Jewish Economic Council, held under the auspices of the Jewish Merchants’ Union, declared today that the attacks on Jews in Poland were paralyzing the country’s economic life.
The council voiced concern at Premier Skladowski’s speech before the Sejm on June 4 in which he said attacks on Jews would not be permitted but that the economic strife against them could not be interfered with.
Vladimir Jabotinsky, addressing a meeting of the Brith Trumpeldor, militant Zionist Revisionist organization, urged upon it the necessity to convince the world that Jews are capable of fighting. He said they should not permit the Jewish national home in Palestine to become a burden upon England.
