The standard of the Jewish Legion, which aided the late Lord Allenby in his conquest of Palestine from the Turks, was today handed over to the student body of the Hebrew University for preservation. The emblem of the Legion’s prowess was presented to “El Al”, student corporation, by Rabbi Falk of Australia, chaplain of the famous Jewish military unit, in whose care it has been since the War.

The colors originally were presented to the Legion by the Maccabi, world Jewish sports organization, at Alexandria. They were carried by the Legion at the Transjordan front during the War.
