The increased risk in shipping goods to disorder-torn Palestine yesterday prompted a joint committee of insurance company underwriters, including Lloyds, to recommend an increase in cargo insurance rates to the Holy Land.

The rates are to be raised from two shillings per cargo to five shillings when the risk after discharge continues for fifteen days and ten shillings when the risk continues for thirty days.
