Two thousand orange trees and grapevines in the Jewish settlement of Kfar Yona were destroyed today, according to an official communique.

Demolition of 98 Arab houses in the Old City of Jaffa, scheduled to begin tomorrow in advance of construction of two military roads, was postponed until Thursday when the discovery that a mosque was situated in the condemned area necessitated realignment of plans.

Jacob Gerson, 21, who died this morning from wounds suffered when a truck he was driving was ambushed on Sunday, was given a quiet burial tonight. The authorities ordered the funeral held after curfew to avoid disorders.
