The Daily Herald reported today that an Arab delegation from Palestine which visited Sir John Maffey, permanent Under-secretary for Colonies, declared to him that the general strike now in its tenth week in the Holy Land would continue until Jewish immigration was halted.

The statement was made, according to the Herald, after Sir John had repeated to the delegation the sense of the statement by William Ormsby-Gore, Colonial Secretary, that order would be restored in Palestine even if harsh measures were required.
