The Palestine members of the World Zionist Organization Action Committee yesterday issued a proclamation to the Jews of the world criticizing the Palestine Government for what it termed weakness in the face of a war of extermination against the Jewish community and the hope of the Jewish people for self-redemption.

Declaring that the Government’s failure to act promptly was responsible for the present situation, the proclamation said the authorities replied after a week’s delay, and then insufficiently, to demands for protection.

Paying tribute to the valor of British soldiers and constables, the statement said the Jews were not willing that others should endanger their lives.

“Our demand is for arms for the Jewish settlers at danger points to assist the police and troops,” it declared.
