It was authoritatively learned today that there is no truth whatever to a story appearing in the Voelkischer Beobachter, principal Nazi organ, which states that the British Government is negotiating with France for possible unification of Transjordan and Syria, respectively British and French League-mandated territories.

It was officially admitted that Emir Abdullah, whom the Beobachter allegedly quotes from Amman, has exercised a restraining influence on Palestine Arabs in the present disturbances.

In a purported special interview with the Transjordan’s ruler, the Beobachter quotes him as stating that “what we need now is an Arab Hitler, a person around whom all Arab elements could unite for a Great Arabia.”
