The Frankfurter Zeitung reports that an English group headed by Sir Andrew McFadyean has acquired a substantial interest in the Schocken chain of nineteen department stores. The principal stockholder is Salmen Schocken, treasurer of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, who remains a partner, according to the report.
