Moses T. Marcus, 75, honorary professor in Talmud at the Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, died Wednesday, apparently from heart disease, while touring California with his daughter.

In 1931 he was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship for study in Palestine. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn, who was with him, and by a son, Ralph, professor of Hebrew language and Bible at the institute.
