Zionist circles today anticipated temporary suspension of Jewish immigration into Palestine by the Colonial Office so that the newly-appointed Royal Commission could make its inquiry into current disorders. Arabs have demanded that immigration be halted before they will cease their terrorism.

It was understood, however, that the possible advantages to the commission of suspension of immigration were still under consideration in official quarters.

The Sunday Times stated that the commission has made provisional arrangements to leave for the Holy Land in October but that its departure depends entirely on discontinuance of the disorders.
