The Joint Distribution Committee has granted $48,000 to Jewish child care organizations in Poland in the first six months of 1936 and will continue to subvention these activities for the remainder of the year, Joseph C. Hyman, executive director, said today.

He said part of the grant was made to TOZ, the association for preservation of health among Jews in Poland, which recently declared 25,000 Jewish school children would have to be fed during the Winter. A substantial amount of the grant was earmarked for child-feeding, he pointed out.
