Church sermons were delivered in Esperanto today and newspapers joined in paying tribute to Ludwig Lazar Zamenhof the Polish Jew who devised the international language, on the occasion of the Esperanto Congress.

A sermon in Esperanto was rendered at Votive Church services in the presence of Cardinal Theodor Innitzer. Rabbi Murmelstein also preached in the international tongue at a special service held in the Stadtempel.
