Premier Skladkowski today conferred the Silver Cross Medal on two elementary school teachers of Przytyk, scene of the March 9 pogrom in which two Jews and a Christian were slain. Thawards were for “social and cultural services.”

The recipients, Edmund Wlosek and Kazimierz Zabicki, both testified on behalf of the 43 Poles accused of participation in the pogrom during the trial at Radom in June, when 39 were acquitted and four given light sentences while 11 of 14 Jews were given jail terms up to eight years.
