Recently returned from what he described as a satisfactory trip to Germany, the notorious anti-Semitic leader Professor Octavius Goga today addressed a congress of his followers at Ciucea, Transylvania, and said:
“If I were to lift a finger, no stone would be left of the Jew infected city of Czernowitz.”
Prof. Goga announced he would soon bring to Bucharest an army of 200,000 Cuzist Blueshirts (Rumanian Nazis) to a special congress there, the purpose of which would be to demand power.
Prof. Goga’s speech, made 24 hours after Premier Tatarescu’s declaration that the reshuffled cabinet would end terrorism in Rumania, increased uneasiness in Jewish circles.
The National Peasants Party also held a conference today and adopted a resolution to “avenge with blood” Cuzist terroristic acts.
