The Royal Commission appointed by the British Cabinet to investigate current disorders in Palestine and the grievances of Arabs and Jews held its first meeting in private today at the Colonial Office.

It discussed questions of procedure and other preliminary matters. The six-man commission, headed by Lord Peel, is not scheduled to leave for the Holy Land until the disorders, now in their twenty-fifth week, have ended.
