The end of the Arab strike was “almost entirely” due to the energetic action of the British army, navy and aviation, Lieut. Gen. John Greer Dill, British commander in Palestine, said in a proclamation today, the Havas News Agency reported. He expressed satisfaction over the termination of the strike.

Lieut. Gen. Dill expressed the hope acts of benditism will stop shortly but called upon officers and soldiers to continue to be vigilant in order to insure a full return to normalcy.
