Jewish religion will no longer be taught in the State schools, under an order issued today by the Minister of Education. Jewish teachers will be permitted to carry on their instruction outside of the schools. The new order ends the practice whereby Jewish pupils, who were not permitted to attend classes in the Christian religion, studied Jewish religion as a substitute part of the curriculum.
