It was officially announced today that 5,352 persons immigrated to Biro-Bidjan, autonomous Jewish region in the Far East, in the first nine months of 1936. Included in the total were 900 families and 269 individuals. Figures for the third quarter of the year totalled 1,600. Since the first of this month, immigrants include trained railroad workers.
