Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden disclosed in Commons today that Col. Josef Beck, Polish Foreign Minister, in recent conversations in London, while expressing awareness of the difficulties in the Palestine situation, had referred to the large annual increase in Poland’s population and the problems faced by the Government in view of immigration restrictions of countries to which Poles formerly emigrated.

Capt. Eden’s statement was made in writing in reply to a question.
