So congested have the thoroughfares become in this all-Jewish city of 140,000 population, that the Government has given permission for experimenting with double-deck busses.

Under a Government order, Hamaavir, the omnibus cooperative, is testing a Leyland double-decker on the route from Aliyah Street via Allenby Road to Sir Herbert Samuel Square to Chaim Arlosoroff Street.

The Licensing Authority of the Southern District can revoke this special passenger service whenever it sees fit.
