Dr. Henry Moskowitz, chairman of the board of directors of the American ORT, civic and political leader, died yesterday at his home after a brief illness. He was 57 years old. He was associated for many years with Alfred E. Smith and was co-author of the ex-governor’s biography.
Dr. Moskowitz was also a member of the board of the Joint Distribution Committee and the Jewish Social Service Association. Two stepsons, Charles and Josef Israel 2nd, survive him, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Cyril Franklin of London.
