The Government has decided to end the autonomy of the Warsaw Jewish community, it was reported tonight, by dissolving the newly-elected communal council and replacing it by an appointed commissar.

Zionist parties instructed their members not to participate in an advisory council which the Government was reported preparing to nominate to assist the commissar, who would be in full control of Jewish communal affairs.

The Government, therefore, will select the members of the council from the Agudath Israel, orthodox Jewish organization, and from economic groups, it was stated.
