Forty religious educators today attended the first annual conference of the National Orthodox Board of Jewish Education at the Yeshiva College building, called by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America to create a body to advance religious education, coordinate the activities of various synagogues and religious schools and raise the standards of elementary Hebrew training.
