Representatives of the armed forces, and Christian and Jewish religious and lay leaders yesterday witnessed the initiation of Dr. L.H. Sarlouis as the new chief rabbi.
A. Asscher, president of the Synagogue Federation, presided over the induction. Among those present were representatives of the army, navy and police, delegates of the municipality and representatives of various Christian churches. Rabbis of the entire country attended the ceremony.
