Mayor LaGuardia had the following to say about the German Government’s protest to the State Department about his remarks yesterday:

“They are absolutely right. They ought to protest. I know of no artist or designer who can adequately build, paint or carve anything that will adequately depict either personalities of the Nazi Government, Hitler himself or the type of government he is giving.”
