The suggestion that the Old Testament was the work of a mixed race of Europeans and Semites was advanced today by Prof. Anton Jirku, of Bonn University, writing in the periodical “Forschungen und Fortschritte.”

“The later Stone-Age Europeans wandered to Palestine, where we are at present rediscovering their traces through ancient pottery,” said Dr. Jirku. “This fact is of far-reaching importance for religious history and research in Palestine. The people whom we must thank for the Old Testament were a mixed race of Europeans and Semites.”
