“false” Reports About Reich Held Behind New Curbs on Jews

A Propaganda Ministry statement today explained the sixty-day ban imposed yesterday on all Jewish meetings as punishment for false reports about Germany allegedly published abroad and especially in America. The statement said the ban will be lifted when such reports cease, indicating that the specified sixty-day period may be either shortened or extended as circumstances dictate.
