18 Endeks Get Jail Terms for Czyzew Riots; 15 Let off

A district court today sentenced 18 Nationalists to prison terms of six to ten months each for participation in anti-Jewish disorders in the town of Czyzew last January 5 during which one Jew was killed and thirteen others wounded. Fines of 500 zlotys (about $100) each were imposed on them to cover damages inflicted on the victims.

Fifteen other defendants were given either suspended sentences or were acquitted.
