Funeral services were held today for David Herman, director of Yiddish plays, who died Saturday of a heart attack. He was 61 years old.

Mr. Herman helped to make famous the Wilner Troupe of Poland with its production of “The Dybbuk” and other plays. Several weeks ago he re-organized this troupe. While in Cuba recently he directed several Yiddish productions.
