Jews in provincial towns were warned by the authorities not to appear in the streets today during the traditional Corpus Christi processions.

In the town of Zdunskawola, southwest of Lodz, where minor anti-Jewish excesses recently occurred, Jewish leaders and rabbis were made responsible for compliance with the order.

Jewish families of surrounding villages arrived this morning in Miedzyezec, in the Brzesc area, reporting peasants had threatened to kill them on Corpus Christi Day.
