A Jewish mother abandoned two children in a park today and a youth committed suicide for want of money to buy necessities.

The unidentified mother left her two-year-old and five-year-old sons in a public park with a note declaring she was unable any longer to watch the sufferings of the children, who had not had food for the past five days.

Shalem Goldberg, 16, committed suicide by hanging himself, because he could not afford 10 groszen (2 cents) for medicine for a headache.
