The Manchester Guardian today discussed the possibility that the British Government may publish the report of the Royal Commission on Palestine and announce its policy later in the Summer, after the House of Commons has adjourned.

The liberal daily said the action would represent a change from the Government’s previous intention of making public its conclusions simultaneously with the report.

The report, which is very voluminous, will be published in the middle of July, the Guardian said, before Parliament rises for the Summer holidays. The League: of Nations Mandates Commission will also get the report first and the Government’s conclusions afterward, the paper said.

The Morning Post and the Daily Telegraph, meanwhile, both declared that the report recommends partition of Palestine into roughly equal areas for the Arabs and the Jews.
