DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BERLIN JEWISH COMMUNITY AND THE REICHSVERTRETUNG, GENERAL ORGANIZATION OF GERMAN JEWS, WHICH RECENTLY THREATENED TO DISRUPT THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION, WERE SETTLED TODAY.

AN AGREEMENT WAS REACHED UNDER WHICH ALL JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTRY, INCLUDING STATE ZIONISTS AND INDEPENDENT ORTHODOX GROUPS WILL JOIN THE REICHSVERTRETUNG, MAKING IT THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE ORGANIZATION OF GERMAN JEWRY IN DEALING WITH THE GERMAN AUTHORITIES AS WELL AS WITH JEWISH RELIEF ORGANIZATIONS ABROAD.

THE REICHSVERTRETUNG, OF WHICH DR. LEO BAECK IS PRESIDENT, WILL CONTROL INCOMING FUNDS AS THE CHIEF ORGANIZATION FOR RELIEF WORK IN GERMANY AND THE PLANNING CENTER FOR ALL JEWISH ACTIVITIES. THE AGREEMENT SPECIFIES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTES FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO REMAIN UNDER SUPERVISION OF THE UNIONS OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES. A NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD WAS NAMED.
