A CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE TO FIGHT GREAT BRITAIN’S PLAN TO PARTITION PALESTINE HAS BEEN APPOINTED AT A SPECIAL MEETING HERE OF ALL JEWISH PARTIES OPPOSING THE PLAN.

IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE COMMITTEE, REPRESENTING THE MAPAI (PALESTINE LABOR PARTY), THE MIZRACHI (ORTHODOX ZIONISTS). GENERAL ZIONISTS GROUP A AND GENERAL ZIONISTS GROUP B, WOULD MEET AT ZURICH BEFORE THE WORLD ZIONIST CONGRESS OPENS TO ORGANIZE A BITTER FIGHT AGAINST ACCEPTANCE OF PARTITION.

MENACHEM MENDEL USSISHKIN, WORLD PRESIDENT OF THE JEWISH NATIONAL FUND, WROTE TO THE GATHERING CONSENTING TO JOIN ITS FIGHT AND TO ADDRESS THE ZURICH CONFERENCE, IF THEY TOOK INTO THEIR CAMPAIGN PARTITION OPPONENTS OF ALL PARTIES.

THOSE APPOINTED TO THE COMMITTEE WERE BERL KATZNELSON AND MR. TOBENKIN, OF THE MAPAI, RABBI BERLIN AND MR. FARBSTEIN, OF THE MIZRACHI, MR. BOGRACHOV AND SHALOM SCHWARTZ OF GROUP B, AND ELIAHU BERLIGNE OF GROUP A.
