THE DEATH SENTENCE AGAINST WOLF SZCERBOWSKI, 18-YEAR-OLD BUTCHER’S SON, FOR THE SLAYING OF A POLISH POLICEMAN THAT SET OFF THE ANTI-JEWISH RIOTS IN BRZESC ON MAY 13 WAS UPHELD SATURDAY BY THE APPEALS COURT HERE. THE COURT DECISION DECLARED THE MURDER WAS PREMEDITATED AND THE SENTENCE WAS JUSTIFIED AS YOUNG SZCERBOWSKI WAS A MENACE TO SOCIETY. THE DEFENSE ANNOUNCED IT WOULD APPEAL TO THE HIGH COURT.
