JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS, TAKING AS THEIR KEYNOTE THE CLAUSES SAFEGUARDING RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, JOINED TODAY IN THE NATION-WIDE CELEBRATIONS COMMEMORATING THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SIGNING OF THE ARTICLES OF THE CONSTITUTION ON SEPT. 17, 1787.

THE JEWISH WELFARE BOARD ARRANGED CELEBRATIONS AND SPEECHES AT ARMY AND NAVY POSTS. B’NAI B’RITH, B’RITH ABRAHAM AND HADASSAH SCHEDULED CEREMONIES AT THEIR FIRST FALL MEETINGS. YOUNG ISRAEL, THE YM-YWHA AND HEBREW SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT NEW YORK HELD SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS AND ASSEMBLIES.

A CALL TO THE 2,500 ORTHODOX SYNAGOGUES OF THE UNITED STATES TO MARK THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADOPTION OF THE CONSTITUTION BY SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND SERMONS TONIGHT AND TOMORROW WAS ISSUED TODAY BY THE UNION OF ORTHODOX JEWISH CONGREGATIONS.
